My mother-in-law was in a bad accident over the weekend so my kids made cards for her tonight.
Bug drew a picture of grandma and him on the front.
Writing his name.
Monster had a great time tracing her hands all over her card!
They were so proud of their cards :-)

Chalk Paint Easter Eggs
Monster wasn't feeling well tonight so I decided to let Bug stay up a little late so we could do a project. He was so excited to start doing Easter projects :-)
Supplies:
Chalk
Water
Tape (masking or painters)
White card stock
Scissors
Cut an egg out of the card stock and place some tape over a few places.
Dip a piece of chalk in the water and color.
You can color each space a different color or mix several colors together.
Allow the paper to dry completely before you take the tape off. Hang it up and enjoy!!! This would be a fun project with snowflakes, flowers, butterflies, and so many others!! Let your imagination run wild!!!
Enjoy

Handprint Leprechauns
This project took a few days for us to complete, not because it was hard, but because we worked on it while making dinner several nights. The kids loved making this project!!!
Supplies:
Orange and Peach paint (we didn't have peach so we mixed orange and white)
Green, black, and yellow paper (or foam)
Black sharpie
Little hands
Paint the fingers, excluding the thumb, orange and the palm peach. Then press their hand on paper. Be sure their fingers are close to the bottom of e page so you have room for the leprechauns hat at the top of the palm (I wasn't even thinking about this when we did it).
After the paint drys, draw eyes and a mouth on the leprechaun. Cut out a green hat, black band, and yellow circle and glue them on. Then hang them up and enjoy!!
Shamrock Window Clings
I usually buy window clings to decorate the kids windows for the different seasons and holidays. I looked everywhere for St. Patrick's Day clings and couldn't find any anywhere so I decided we would make them.
The kids had a great time making their own window clings. I think they most had fun with the sticky contact paper :-)
What you need:
Clear contact paper
Green tissue paper
Green glitter (we used glitter glue)
Any other green decoration you can think of
Put one sheet of contact paper stick side up on the table and allow the kids to put all their green objects on the paper. When they are satisfied, put a second sheet of paper on the first, sticky sides together. Have the kids press the two pieces together really well.
I printed shamrock clip art to help me cut out the shamrocks because I am not artistic at all!!!
Bug wanted to count all the shamrocks before we put them on the windows.
I put a little tap on the back of each shamrock to help them stay on the window.

Welcome!
I always have big plans to do this or that...and they never work out. I hope to change that now! My wonderful husband gave me an iPad for Christmas and I hope this will help me keep up a blog on the fun and amazing things I do with my kids.
I am a teacher and always want to do fun and educational things with my kids. I try to do things all year with them, but life usually gets in the way. Maybe by blogging about the cool things I do, I will be encouraged to do more with them throughout the year. Summer time is so much easier to be creative and do things...it's nice outside, I stay home with the kids, we can go outside...
I have 2 amazing and crazy kids. Bug is 4, and Monster is 2. They do almost everything together which is great, except when there is only one of something...but they usually find a what to share and make it work.
We did a great St. Patricks Day project today that I hope to blog about later today or tomorrow. Check back soon! I hope you find some inspiration from my blog and can use some of my fun projects/activities with your kids too!!!!
